If you were a teenage girl at any point between 2005 and 2015, you likely spent hours upon hours watching Tyra Banks's completely unhinged reality TV show competition, America's Next Top Model. I was so obsessed with it as a kid that I would play ANTM with my Littlest Pet Shop toys. If anyone is curious, the LPS brown dachshund with velvet swirls was my Tyra – what a smize!

This show is a product of its time; it definitely couldn't be done in this day and age without some major changes. For one, social media has completely transformed the modeling industry. Gone are the days that you could pluck a pretty girl off the street and turn a complete nobody into a somebody with a neatly-crafted yet mysterious image. Plus, production could never get away with the level of mistreatment they that could behind-the-scenes of the original show — which is, of course, a good thing overall!
